West Oakland, CA

Purchased: April 2014 

Sold: March 2017

Description: This Oakland, CA acquisition presented a new challenge for ARG. The asset was zoned as a church but was sitting vacant for many years. Understanding both the macro and micro trends, ARG acquired the asset in 2Q14 and was able to re-purpose the asset into a duplex within less than 12 months. Overall, the asset was disposed in 1Q17 and ARG was able to achieve a 22% IRR.

24th and Harrison (Mission District)

Purchased: June 2015 

Sold: February 2018

ARG acquired this asset, an undervalued duplex on the 24th and Harrison St. corridor in 2Q15. At the time of acquisition both units were paying rents that were well below market rental rates. Through considerate negotiations, ARG found a solution for all parties in the building, and was able to free up one of the units. Shortly thereafter, ARG renovated that unit with extreme detail before selling the asset at a competitive price in the market. Over the 24 months lifespan of the investment, ARG was able to achieve a ____% IRR and ___% return on capital.

Jerry J Azar

Jerry is an Azar Realty Group Co-Founder and Principal, where he manages the firm’s mixed-use and multi-family acquisitions, developments and dispositions. A seasoned real estate investor, entrepreneur and broker, Jerry has been an active investor/broker in the San Francisco Bay Area for over twenty years. Jerry also owns a master dealerships of seven cell phone retail stores in the San Francisco Bay Area, which he has been active in for over thirty years. Jerry has also made small angel investment contributions over the past twenty years.

Earlier in his career, he worked as a commercial pilot instructor. Jerry has been a licensed broker within the state of California for over 25+ years (BRE 00957206). He is an active member at Saint Nicholas Church, serving as the 2014-2015 President of the Board. He holds a B.S. in International Relations from San Francisco State University.

Hanna J Azar

Hanna is an Azar Realty Group Principal, where he manages the firm’s acquisitions, renovations and dispositions. Hanna works closely with architects, engineers, attorneys and other parties to ensure projects are on time and on budget. Hanna is a co-owner in over seven retail cell phone stores in the San Francisco Bay Area.

He is a licensed salesperson within the state of California (DRE#02005698). Hanna is a current board member of Saint Nicholas Orthodox Church in San Francisco. He holds a B.S. in Business Administration from San Francisco State University.

Ramzy J Azar

Ramzy is an Azar Realty Group Principal, where he handles the firm’s financial reporting and strategic vision. Ramzy is also a financial analyst within Wells Fargo’s Commercial Real Estate Group. In his role at Wells, Ramzy had underwrote and originated over $500MM of construction and bridge loans for multifamily, office and industrial assets throughout the United States for public/private institutional quality commercial real estate developers, private equity fund sponsors and high net worth individuals. Ramzy holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
